Quest Gauntlet

The Quest Gauntlet chains four of the day's puzzles into one run: a single timer, a shared pool of lives, and a shared pool of hints across all four.

How the gauntlet works

1. Four puzzles are played in sequence, and you cannot skip one.
2. Lives are shared across the whole run — a wrong answer in the first puzzle costs you in the fourth.
3. Hints come from one pool, so spending three early leaves none for the end.
4. A wrong answer adds a time penalty on top of losing a life.
5. Finish quickly for a completion bonus. Run out of lives and the gauntlet locks until tomorrow.
